Active Kids (ages 10-12)
Module 1:
“Finding My Superpower - My Strengths, My Skills, My Hobbies”
Participants will be engaged in various exercises, games and activities which will help them:
- answer the question: what can I do well and what do I still need to work on? (find their strengths and weaknesses)
- focus on the positive! create a map of strengths, skills, talents, hobbies or interests, the things they love and care about
- identify their role models – what kind of strengths and skills do they posses?
- name My Superpower – what kind of superpower do you have? Is it similar to the superpower of your role model? How does this Superpower help you succeed?
- create a presentation for the group: “My Superpower and I”; each participant presents themselves in their own words based on exercises from the course + describes their role model + one chosen interest or hobby
give constructive feedback (participants will receive feedback from the group and the instructor)
Each lesson lasts for: 1,5 hours (90min)
Ages: 10 – 12
Module 2: “Learning How To Plan - Dreams Becoming Goals”
Participants will be engaged in various exercises, games and activities which will help them:
- answer the questions: what do you care about? what do you want to do in the future?
- map out interests, hobbies, plans and dreams
- set goals based on one chosen interest, hobby, plan or dream
- ask the question: what could stop me from achieving my goal? how can I solve issues that will be on my way? mapping out the solutions to difficulties that may arise while achieving this goal
- create a “plan of action”: break down each goal into smaller, achievable steps
- interview other participants and give them feedback on their “plan of action”
- present their goal and their “plan of action” in front of the group with confidence and passion
give constructive feedback (participants will receive feedback from the group and the instructor)
