Active Teens (ages 14-16)

The course’s task is to teach the practical skills needed by kids to achieve their maximum efficiency.

The program has been developed with experienced managers and business analysts. It is led by Agata – a graduate of an American university and an Americanist, phenomenal educator and expert in dealing with the development of children and youth.

The Active Teens course is:
  • self-awareness: the awareness of strengths, weaknesses and motivations (what do I care about?)
  • positive mindset/growth mindset
  • planning: the ability to break down goals into smaller, achievable steps
  • communication: the ability to put ideas into words and successfully communicate them to others, sparking their interest

  • collaboration: the ability to work with a group of people to achieve a goal; the awareness that no goal can be achieved alone
  • clarity of vision: the ability to remain focused on the main goal without getting distracted by other tasks, duties or other concepts
  • courage: the ability to maintain motivated, focused and committed to the goal even when difficulties and doubts arise
  • perspective: the ability to receive both success and failure with the right attitude, learn from them to keep growing and developing as a person

The course consists of 2 modules which focus on different aspects of leadership. 

Module 1: “Communication - Finding My Own Voice" ​

Participants will be engaged in various exercises, games and activities which will help them:

  • become aware of their strengths and their weaknesses
  • create a self-awareness map: a mind map that contains skills + values and beliefs + role-models + interests + goals etc.
  • present themselves in front of a group (with courage and self-respect)
  • create a presentation on a chosen topic – the goal: to share knowledge and spark interest in the audience
  • give constructive feedback (participants will receive feedback from the group and the instructor)

Each lesson: 1,5 hours (90 min)

Ages: 14-16

Frequency: Twice a week

Module 2: “Goal-setting and Presentation - sharing my perspective” ​

Participants will be engaged in various exercises, games and activities which will help them:

  • map out interests, hobbies, skills and dreams
  • set short-term and long-term goals based on one chosen interest, hobby, skill or dream
  • map out the solutions to difficulties that may arise while achieving this goal
  • create a “plan of action”: break down each goal into smaller, achievable steps
  • interview other participants and give them feedback on their “plan of action”
  • present their goal and their “plan of action” in front of the group with confidence and passion
  • give constructive feedback (participants will receive feedback from the group and the instructor)
